Snapchat story saver

Snaps kept as real files on your own device, named for the account, the gallery and the date they were taken. Nothing to install.

A bare handle works, and so does @handle or a full snapchat.com link. No account, no sign-up, and Snapchat is never told who looked — but only public profiles can be read.

Files, not screenshots

A screenshot of a snap is a photograph of a phone screen: recompressed, cropped to your device, and carrying whatever was overlaid on it. Saving here gives you the file Snapchat itself stores — a JPEG or an MP4, at the resolution it was published, with nothing added and nothing re-encoded.

Snaps are portrait phone frames, typically 1242 × 2208. Clips run a few seconds, between roughly 0.7 MB and 1.9 MB on the profiles measured while building this.

Filenames that sort themselves

Every saved file is named for where it came from:

part example
account nba
gallery highlight-03
position in gallery 012
date the snap was taken 2026-06-01
type .jpg

Put together: nba-highlight-03-012-2026-06-01.jpg

Save a whole gallery and it lands in your downloads folder already in chronological order, with no renaming and no guessing which file was which. The date is the day the snap was taken, read from the snap itself — not the day you saved it.

Where they land

On a computer, in your browser's downloads folder, like any other download.

On iPhone, in the Files app under Downloads. Images can be moved into Photos from there; iOS does not put browser downloads into the camera roll automatically.

On Android, in Downloads, and usually visible in the gallery app shortly afterwards.

Saving many at once

Select what you want — or take a whole gallery with one control — and the files save one after another. Your browser will ask once whether this site may download several files; that answer covers the rest of the batch.

They are saved one at a time on purpose rather than bundled into a ZIP. The note on where the files come from explains why that choice is what keeps this site out of the transfer entirely.
